Processor Running At 95c After Bios Update

hi. my pc was occasionally restarting but no serious hardware issues, a microsoft error report said probably due to bios problems. i used abit uguru to automatically update the bios and since then i am getting alarm beep that processor is running at 95c (this was confirmed by ‘speedfan’ program which gave similar reading). two questions really, guessing here but could the incorrect bios have been loaded and would flashing correct bios cure it. if so how do i go about doing this, i have no floppy drive and although i have managed to create a bootable usb and put the latest bios for my board on this, i can’t get any option to boot from it in the bios menu. if not a bios problem what could it be? as i said there were no hardware problems till the bios was changed. all fans appear to be working normally and heatsink is properly seated on processor. My system has Abit ip35pro xe board with e8400 processor.

      I’m gonna guess the bios is miss reading your temps. ut your hand by the cpu fan. you can tell the difference between 40c and 90c. The software generally just read what your bios would say and so if your bios is faulty they will be also. First using a your hand figgure out if it is actualy over heating. IF not revert your bios or use a beta. If you can manualy tell is not over heating you can probaly diasable the armes in the bios
