My Laptop Can Not Take Any Processor Upgrade

  • 1

hi can someone help me please !!!…
I have a presario cq61 320 sv and my specs are:
AMD Sempron(tm) M100 2.00 GHz, 3.00 GB (2.75 usable) 64-bit operating System Win. 7 Ultimate and with a AMD M880G with Ati Mobility radeon Hd 4200. I dont know the motherboard model and the weird thing is that my laptop model is not registed on the list of the official amd website. But my problem is that i cant upgrade my laptop processor. Someone showed me the list of processors that my laptop support and i decidet to upgade my processor with a turion X2 ultra dual core M640 that wasn’t on the list but they told me is ok. When i found someone who was ready to help i decydet to do it but my laptop didn’t recognized the processor (or at least that was what that gay told me) for a reason i don’t know. Than he told me that my laptop cant take any processor because the board is not original. I don’t know why but i have a feelling that that gay lied me for some reason and that’s why i need help. Can any one ashure me that he was right ???
(sorry for my bad english)

  1. my laptop model is not registed on the list of the official amd website
Why are u looking at AMD website? Look at HP website
Compaq Presario CQ61-300 Notebook PC series
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor…
As u can see compaq presario cq61 320 sv doesn’t exist, post the correct model number.
CPU support list from manufacture website is everything, do not upgrade the CPU u don’t see in the list.
