Error 0210: Stuck Key 44

I have a Thinkpad R61 which displays the following error on boot up:

ERROR
0210: stuck key 44
Press <F1> to SetUp

On entering BIOS, selecting ‘Restart’ normally gets the PC to boot. but i notice that some of the direction keys do not work. Do I need a new keyboard or is it a motherboard problem?

Any advise would be helpful.

      The soln is to checkout which key is meshedup or pressed. Most probably it will be the no. keys. u can startup it normally by pressing almost all the keys while the bios starts to boot.
