Repair Half Black Screen On Dell Laptop Possible?

My dell laptop vertical half screen not working. It became black. Can i repair it. Please help me to fix it. Is there any way i could make it myself… the left half is working properly but the right half turned black….

    1. Check connecting cable plug tightness at each end (laptop and screen). Also slowly move the lid down towards closed and see if anything changes on the screen. If it does the cable is probably faulty at the hinge.
