just bought IBM desktop with windows 7 OS, tried to load the disk for my HP Officejet 5500 printer, & it won’t load. Any tips?
Go to HP Support and download the latest software/driver package..
Connect your printer to your computer.
Get on the Internet – Turn your printer on. (It may start a search on it’s own)
If it doesn’t start a search.
Go to the Control Panel – Devices and Printers –
Right click the printer Icon that needs a driver and left click Trouble Shooter. Click on Apply this fix.
Once the search has started do nothing until the driver is Installed.
If you have dial-up it may take several tries.
This worked for my HP 3 in 1 printer, copier and
scanner. This will only install the basics.
