I don’t believe that it can be done with the Enter key. Even if it could, I don’t think that you would want to change the function of the Enter key.
Since he is already using the mouse to click on “student 14”, all he needs to do is Right-Click the Row number of the Total row and choose Insert. He doesn’t even need to select a cell first, he can right click directly on the Row number.
Another option is to use the keyboard once a cell is selected. If he presses Alt+i+r it will insert a Row above the selected cell and place the cursor in the same column of the new row. No mouse needed.
One more option is to right click any cell and choose Insert then the Entire Row radial button. That will do the same thing as using Alt+i+r.
Changing the function of the Enter key can be dangerous.
