  1. Explain Factory update. Were you trying to restore your laptop to like it came from the Factory?
What is the brand name of your computer ? Not enough information. ——— Be prepared to start tapping the F8 key when you press the power button. Using the arrow keys select – Last known good configuration. Press the Enter Key —– If this fails you need to try and find a system repair disc. To create one for Windows 7 (maybe from a friend who has windows 7 )
Start – Control Panel – Backup and Restore Icon – at the left top – create a system repair disc.
If this computer has never had the 3 DVD made to like set it back to like it came from the factory, than look in All Programs for how to make them, when and if it becomes possible.
Only one set allowed. You can order the 3 Install DVD by using the Serial Number, anyway I did for an eMachine Notebook. $19.95 ———- I bought a use notebook and couldn’t read the Serial Number. How to find it – Start – All Programs – Accessories – command prompt – type – wmic bios get serialnumber – press the enter key ———- When Possible ?
