Removing A Stubborn ASF File?

  • 0

I used VLC to convert a 3GP cellphone video clip to an ASF file, that I could view it on my computer. It will not play, but more importantly, it refuses to be deleted from my Windows 7 desktop.
When I try to delete it or drag it to the Recycle Bin, I get a popup box stating “Preparing to Recycle”, with all times, items and speed “Calculating”, and no resolution. Its only one file. Why wont it go quietly?

What is a good “crowbar” method for unconditionally deleting this file? Thanks.

  1. Boot off a Linux disc, run a live session, mount the HDD, then browse to the where the file is located & delete it.
