I have been trying recover with new set of discs hp mailed. It can not complete windows installation. after the second disc pops out it does ask if i have supplemental disc. of course hp has been lying to me for past week about sending me one. After getting 3 sets in mail promising the disc would be inside today they told me they dont have the supplement disc anymore!!!??? Today they tell me I dont need to have it to complete the installation, but I still cant complete the installation. Please help me.

1. why didn’t you create your own recovery disc set the day you purchased the computer?

2. why do you need to do a recovery in the 1st place? In other words, what is it that you don’t know how to fix? You will lose everything – all your files & programs – so attempting a recovery should be the last resort after all other attempts to fix the problem have failed.
3. did you try running the recovery directly from the recovery partition? Tap the F11 key during startup?
