  1. I was guessing from the size of the screen that it was a desktop.
Nice size on that screen! Too bad it isn’t working properly.

Since it is a laptop, one possibility (I don’t know how likely) is
that a wire in the ribbon cable from the video to the screen has
broken where it bends at the hinge. You can attempt to test for
that by slowly raising and lowering the screen while it is turned
on and watch to see if the yellow ever goes away, even briefly.
If so, you can either get a new ribbon cable and install it yourself
or have a computer repair shop do it for you.

If it is under warranty you will probably want to check with whoever
you are supposed to contact about repairs.

Before sending it to or leaving it with anyone you should back up
    your data.

You can still try plugging an external monitor into the laptop to see
if the problem shows up. If it does, that means your screen is okay
but either the cable or the video controller is bad.

Replacing a cable should be relatively inexpensive. I have no idea
how much new screens cost. If the video controller is bad, you may
want to replace the laptop. Sometimes repair shops will determine
the problem at no charge if you pay them to repair it.
