How Do You Switch On Dell Latitude D610 WiFi

  • 3

It will not search for wifi networks – or recognize them or hook up. it is 32 bit It does nothing when you push f2 andfn keys per instructions. it says “the radio of your wireless adapter is not turned on” and “radio disabled” we have unchecked the disable radio box with no change. it was working a month ago for orevious owner.

  1. You are correct in thinking that Fn + F2 turns wifi on and off on the D610.

Since that is obviously not the cause of the problem you need to look elsewhere. Two suggestions spring to mind:

    1) The wifi adapter can be enabled/disabled in BIOS Setup, so check in there and if necessary enable it.

    2) Try re-installing the wireless adapter driver. You can download it from the Dell Support website that’s appropriate for your country. For the UK it’s here: http://www.dell.com/support/home/uk…

For other countries, click “United Kingdom” at top-left of page and select your country from the drop-down list. It’s essential you choose the correct country first to avoid the risk of getting the wrong driver or not being able to find your model.
