Change Computer From Dial Up To Wireless

i have wireless network with my laptop and have been given another computer which is not a laptop and was on wireless how do i change it to connect to my wireless network i have tried setting up a new connection but it doesnt seem to have wireless connection set up, the computer is about 8 yrs old
