This error is caused when Yahoo bans your IP address.

Hi Bee

I did a google search of "error 999"

this is what i came up with:

follow this link. There is a whole page of info here.

http://www.murraymoffatt.com/software-problem-0011.html

the short version is:

Error 999 Yahoo mail

This error is caused when Yahoo bans your IP address.

FIX:

Wait a few days and check your mail again, or try logging in from

http://mail.yahoo.co.uk

or

http://login.europe.yahoo.com/config/mail?.intl=uk

Some users have had success by using an alternative browser

Translation. Do you have any web browsers other than Microsofts Internet Explorer???

If these don't work and the problem doesn't resolve itself in a few days by itself, you may want to download Netscape Navigator, Mozilla Firebird or the Mozilla suite ( which also has other stuff you may not want to mess with).

If this doesn't work, you can always go buy yourself an Apple computer :). They never crash :)

It seems the problem is with Internet Explorer.

I faced the same problem this morning. I tried to login 5-6 times but it gave same error.

When I used Opera browser, it worked fine..

So, anyone who is facing the same problem can try using other browsers.
