I tried creating an XP startup disk using format of floppy A. After checking the"create startup disk" checkbox and pressing OK I get an error "An IO problem occured". Could someone help me?
Many thanks

I dont know what you want to do with the Starup disk.

If you just to do somethings at the Prompt or Install a previous Xp version, then get to the bootdisk.com but for reinstalling Xp then:
Go to the microsoft Website and download the 6 XP Startup disk. And insert them at startup.

I just found out xp does not need a start up disk. When starting your computer, go into the BIOS and tell your computer to boot from the CD rom firts. Restart your computer with the xp disk in the Rom drive, and it will enter setup. XP is not a DOS based operating system.
