I didn't know if I should post here or in the win2000 forum....so I did both, sorry for the redundency. Here goes:

Hey Guys,

I just upgraded this Dell system from Win2000 to Win XP-Pro. Now on the win2000 Platform there was a password login under administrator. Now that I've upgraded the system, XP sees the uses name and applyed it to the desktop for login, but the users name does not take the admin's password. Needless to say this is a problem for now I can not get onto the desktop without a password.

I did try just hitting the "Enter" key, but no go.

Please can anyone give one or more solutions to this password problem.

Thanks...

Kye

boot into safe mode, now you should have the administrator account, login with your administrator password and sort out you user account/password problem
