Comment:

For some odd reason my keyboard is not working correctly.
Whenever i try to get a capital(hold shift) it does soemthing else.
When i push L key its logs out.
And more of this stuff, its almost as if i had a multifunctional keyboard from logitech which has these options.
but its a keyboard without these features.

Does anybody know if there is something in XP which can do this?

Windows Logo key + L
will take you the Logon screen.

Are you saying that only doing L , will get you there ????

Could be a stuck key. Try another keyboard.

Could it be the "sticky keys" option is switched on? When you hit the E key does an explorer window open?

Tap the shift key 5 times and have a look. If sticky keys comes up as turned on, turn it off.

I am starting to suspect the windows installation is bad.

I'm with Jennifer, try another keyboard or try that keyboard on another pc.

If you are using a ps2 keyboard see if a usb one will work instead and vice versa.

It is best to rule out hardware before looking at software issues.
