Comment: My windows me will not execute the shutdown command. The restart and standby works fine, but the shutdown won't work. Could anyone possibly point me in the right direction on how to solve this problem?

Reply: (edit)go into your system properties and refresh the Display Adapter driver, that does it a lot of times. If not, look on past posts, there's links for shutdown troubleshooting flowcharts.
