Comment:

I recently added second harddisk and USB wireless card to my PC. Now when ever I shut down my PC, 90% of the times it freezes on "Windows is shutting down" screen and it never shuts down. Then I have to just do hard shut off (using power switch). The booting is fine its only the shut off which has problems..

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Ensure that you do not have 2(or more) anti-virus programs installed.

And then go to start>run>Regedit and navigate to HKEY_Local_Machine>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current Version>Run and then delete all the unnecessary items.

Restart the machine once and try to Shut down again. Lemme know if the problem persists.
