I think 98 has native support for that chipset.

Here's 2 driverguide downloads. Both use the same .inf file but the second one says some of the files were updated.

It's usually best to use the 'view a series of ads' option as registering only serves to limit your downloads. When each ad shows up just click 'no thanks' or whatever takes you to the next one.

I guess I'm just old fashioned but this post reads more like a statement or a demand, rather than a request for assistance.

Yeah, it does seem that way. But maybe he was just so exasperated after spending days or weeks trying to find the drivers that, like a dehydrated man crawling across the desert who can only mouth the word 'water', all he could do was type in his basic needs before collapsing. . .

Well it could be.

How about the new look here?

Yeah, Cirrus stuff seems to be very tough to find anymore. About the best arsenal for older (mostly W3.1) drivers I had was the old mpoli.fi mirror, and I can now only find it here:

ftp://213.135.34.30/pub/mirror/ftp.mpoli.fi/hardware/

Fortunately, I've got it backed up to DVD's as well...

I've gotten tired of all the crap to go through on DriversGuide (even though I'm a member) just to get a couple of drivers that may (or may not) work...

AFA the site redesign--guess I'm just a traditionalist, but the old "yellow post-it" look to the old site seemed more appropriate (I feel like I'm on M$'s website now). Maybe a preview was offered, but I guess I missed it...

DAVE

Yeah, quite pretty. I think it will be fine once I get used to it. The print might be a tad smaller but I can still read it.

I still peer at these boards quite often but avoid getting immersed like the old days. That said, my body clock still has USA tendencies...

PS. I need a million dollars.

Yeah, me too. I'm still waiting for the lottery numbers to present themselves to me in a precognitive dream.
