Subject: cd/dvd won't show up in windows
OS: win 98se
CPU/Ram: pentium 3 / 64 m ram
Comment:

cd/dvd shows up in boot and bios but won't show up in windows. I have tried reloading the drivers and used the start up disk. It loads drivers and tools but no cd/dvd in windows. any ideas.

HI could use more information! Are you instaling new cd/dvd and not have any before?
Are you replaceing cd/dvd because old one not working.Are they on different IDE as the hard drive? I my be off base not knowing needed info. open control panel select system , open device manger/hard disk controler ,hilight duel disk controler select properties, settings, be sure default or both IDEs are enabled than close that box and open secondary IDE controler at bottom of box besure, {}disable in this hardware configuation,is not checked.If any changes made reboot and good luck!
