Subject: using cachefs on autofs via NIS
Comment:

Hi,
I have a partition sol:/net that I share via nfs. I want to mount sol:/net onto client:/net as read-only with cachefs using autofs via NIS. I am able to mount the cache file system with /etc/vfstab but cannot seem to get the maps right to have the client cachefs mount /net. The NIS portion of it is working on the client because I use autofs for home directories and they work. I tried a direct map with and entry such as (one one line)
/net -fstype=cachefs,backfstype=nfs,cachedir=/cache/cachefile,ro sol:/net

but no such luck. I cannot use the special indirect map /net -hosts (which does work if I implement it) because the sol:/net partition has compilers that have been built to find libraries and such in /net and not in /net/sol/net. Any suggestions?
