currently I can not suf the net on my unix box. the other unix admin on my team can. if i login to his system and then open a browser on my system, it works. otherwise I cannot browse on my system.
before i ask him, what should I check for? our /etc/resolv.conf, /etc/networks, & /etc/nsswitch.conf look identical.
what gives????????

The browser running on his is using his connection not yours. (cde or x)

Run ifconfig for his card(s) and see what's up.

A router or switch or firewall or other reasons could deny your browsing.

Better ask IT.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
