Can't login with NIS account

OS: Solaris 8
CPU/Ram: Sparc
Comment:

I have NIS setup on a machine but when I try to login with a server based user account, an error message pops up saying " unable to access home directory. Click OK to start a Failsafe session, or Cancel to restart login "

While if I try to login using local Root account, it works.

Help please.......

Hi

Please restart NIS service on server

/usr/lib/netsvc/yp ypstop/start

change the passwrod by yppasword

check also /etc/auto_home and /etc/auto_master for mounting your /export/home dir to local /home dir
