Comment: I recently bought a networkcard with Wake-on-lan but it doesn't work. I've activated the function on the motherboard, connected the wake-on-lan-cord and sent a wake-up-signal but the computer doesn't boot. Anyone got an idea what could be wrong?

Reply: (edit)boot? it's not supposed to boot the computer, but I believe its function is to 'wake' it from a power-saving stand-by mode.

Reply: (edit)Refering to this article: System must be in a Soft-Off state. The address packet send from the network must match MAC address on the "wake-on-lan" card.Check if this is correct. If you have a router or server that routs IP packets turn it off, to narrow the problem.
