Subject: VRAM upgrade in an iMac
OS: 9.0.2
CPU/Ram: 400Mhz/576MB
Comment:

I know you can't replace the graphics card
in an iMac, which had me at a dead loss.
But I had this old video card for a PC lying
around when I noticed that there were
several empty slots on it, presumably for
installing more memory onto the card.
Well, my iMac has the ATI Rage 128Pro
version with 8MB VRAM on board. Can I
add more memory chips to it? Their has
to be some empty slots on it, I thought
about it, and every chip set or
motherboard I've ever seen has empty
slots on it...

if I can dd more memory, can anyone tell
me what I should add to it, or a place
where I can find out what to add to it?
Thanks.

Which iMac is more upgradeable than yours in
terms of its' VRAM? If you want a computer for its'
upgradeability, you don't get an iMac.
