I work for a small business and there are
five of us who use Word to code our files
before we import them into Quark and
InDesign for typesetting. We are on
system 9.2.2 and have Word 98.
About 6 mos. ago, one of our Word
programs began crashing whenever we
tried to save anything after working in it.
Then it hit the domino affect and now
none of us can work off of our network in
word without it crashing and freezing our
computers. We can, however, work off of
our desktops and be fairly successful.
The messages vary from "Disk is full" to
"File corrupt" to "Too many files open" and
on and on. There never seems to be a
rhyme or reason to it, but it is like or
software is just degenerating. It worked
just swimmingly for four years.
Has anyone had this problem with saving
files in word? Any suggestions?

Have you tried trashing the network copy of Word98
along with all the preferences and running a clean
install of it?

hang when saving in word 2003 when i click on save in word 2003 nothing happens when i save in word its save as tmp	auto save in word and excel 2003 unable to save in word pad I get run time errors when logging in to hotmail
