I bought this motherboard today but it has a problem...can't boot the pc

I just tested to see if it works, with *ONLY* the cpu connected on the motherboard and the dbracket2 monitor device. No ram, no video, or anything else connected.

So, when I boot, the dbracket2 monitor leds light up with the combination 2 red,2 green, which corresponds to the "no cpu found, or cpu damaged".

I also tested it with another cpu, but the same error was displayed.

Normaly, it should detect the cpu and procceed to the next check, and report "no memory found", or something. But it doesn't recognize the cpu.

Ofcourse, I can't make any bios changes, because it doesn't boot properly.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Firstly, make sure you have the CPU cooler installed properly, then try clearing your CMOS. Had a similar problem with my mobo, except mine is an Asus A7N8X. There is something funny with the nForce based boards.

Are you sure that your cpu will work with that motherboard? Recheck the specs. I had the same problem with incompatiblity.

Finally, the problem was with this particular m/b. I replaced it, and now everything runs smooth.
