CPU/Ram: AMD Turion 64x2mobile/896
Model/Manufacturer: dell inspiron 1501

when i start my computer it goes beep beep and sends error code 0200 failure fixed disk 0 if i press F1 to resume i then get operating system not found.if i reboot it it starts after 1 or 2 tries.once started i have no problems with my laptop at all. my laptop is just over 2 years old.can anyone help?

Contact Dell. It should still be under Warranty. All you'll need is the ST number.

If it's two years old, the parts warranty should still be valid.

dell says it isnt hard drive problem. all the information i have read says it is. dell therefore just say send it back to them at a cost of god knows what.i dont trust them. dont know make of my hard disk to know if its covered,but if it is hard disk totally kaput, have been quoted £60 by reputable engineer for new one. this is probably cheaper than sending it to dell and will be back within a day
