Comment: I deleted directx from my computer as suggested by the article on this forum. (i have XP) and I dloaded the 8.1 directx.. then I attempted to install it and I keep getting a "can't write to memory" error.. now I am screwed because I no longer have direct x on my XP machine and do not know how to reinstall it !! as all dloads are for win 98 / me , etc.. not XP !! how do I force this 98 version of direct x to install or how do i reinstall direct x for XP ??
! someone please HELP! and i still get the damn BSOD !
