Comment: I received a message as I tried to open Microsoft Platinum Publisher which states;
"Msvcirt.dll is linked to missing export
msvcrt.dll:??_u@yapaxi@z" Sounds to me like a corrupted driver file. I have downloaded the file Msvcirt.dll but have not put it into the system file because I don't want to mess it up. Will that work? I went to Microsoft Support reference to article Q296551 and tried to pull from my CD and that would not work, tried to pull from C: drive windows\options\cabs and that did not work so I downloaded from on line site. I am using Windows 98se, 1.ghz, 60gb C:, 20GB,D:
384sdram, explorer 6.0 Browser IE6.0
Thanks in advance for any assist you can give. My system is working other than not being able to open a few programs.
