Hello, I am searching for drivers for an AST Ascentia A42. I cannot get my CDRom to work when loading an OS (my drive is totally blank), I have partitions setup, and I am to the point where I need the CD to run the Win 95 setup, but no go. Please help me, if you require any other info, just ask ill dig up what I can find! Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you can boot from floppy a W98SE OEM Boot Floppy from:
http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm
...will suffice unless the CDRom is not an IDE version and is attached to the Sound Card, then post back.

Cool, I will give this a go as soon as I get home! I am not sure about the CD rom, um, it is a removable device. Flip the computer over, and flick a switch and it pops out. However I will look, and I will grab a model number and anything else. The floppy plugs into the Parallel? port, I think don't quote me on this, I can't remember. The floppy is also removeable from its holder, as well, but it boots fine...
