Comment: So Knoppix. Anyone know where I can download a copy of it? I'm an aspiring network/security major and I'd like to see what this distro can do... I've heard its pretty impressive just in principle. Anyone use it on a consistent basis? I'm just curious as to what a white hat would use it for. Its pretty obvious how it could be used in a black hat manner. Thanks! -- Yeah, Rick. I've been meaning to tell you. You should probably lay low for a while. You're probably wanted for murder. --

Reply: (edit)Perhaps this being the dos forum it is the wrong place for this posting. It might be better placed in the linux section. Good Luck - Keep us posted.

Reply: (edit)No one is saying you are an idiot, or even suggested kicking you in the Knoppix. :-) We are here to help, if we can. For the best response(s), a posting need to be placed on the correct forum. The reason for this is that responders generally look at only those forums their experience relates to. e.g. I, being somewhat of a dinasaur, only look at the dos and general hardware forums. Hope you find the information you seek. Regards - Mike. Good Luck - Keep us posted.

Reply: (edit)If your interested in security the best distro of choice would be backtrack. The last version i used was 2.0 but im sure there must be a newer version out now. SBS Specialist extraordinaire!!
