Comment: while installing win98 and just after selecting typical it returns me to dos with message saying" dos has bad command fault with some machine language" does any one know why???

Reply: I suggest downloading a Windows 98 boot disk from micronpc.com and doing a clean installation after backing up any DOS files you care about and formatting the hard disk.

Reply: hey the probblem is when you intsall win98 on a dos 6.22 when you get that erra that means you can not install a windows 95 or 98 with dos still on the system ive tryed it before the only way you do do it is to back up every thing you want to save then format system then install win98 when you try to install win98 it responses to dos 6.22 and it leaves dos 6.22 still on the system there's no way to do it but format system and then bott system with win98 startupdisk and then install win98 on system well good luck bye
